This privacy policy outlines how AppGecko collects and processes your personal information, why this happens, and what the data is used for. We believe firmly in the principals outlined the the EU’s GDPR directive, and as such we believe that your data should only be processed in ways that you would expect.
Data you provide to us:
When you sign up for an account on one of our services, you provide us with basic personal information about yourself, for example, your name and email address. You have the option of setting a password, but we do not have direct access to this and only you will ever know this.
Data is collected when you explicitly provide one of our services with information, and implicitly through interaction with the app or service. The reasons for this are outlined below:
- You explicitly provide the service with information you wish to use within the service. This information may then be used by the service.
- You implicitly or explicitly provide the service with information, for example, the time of day you access the service, or the IP address from which you are accessing the service.
- You may use some services to publish information to third parties, or publicly. These features are opt-in.
There are other reasonable ways we may use your data

Where asked to do so, we will process your data to provide you with relevant support. We may also use this information proactively, for example, to contact you if we notice suspicious activity on your account. For example, we may record your IP address to detect if your account is in use in a suspicious location and alert you to this.

We will process your personal data when we have a legal obligation to do so. For example, if you request a copy of the data the service stores in relation to you, we will process your data as necessary to fulfil your request. We may use your personal information to defend against relevant legal action. If you indicate you want us to, from time to time we may notify you of updates to our products and services via your contact information, or within a product, where we believe there is a reason that you are likely to want to receive this information. You are free to notify us that you don’t want to receive communications from us from within our services, through our usual support routes, or by unsubscribing from any emails.

From time to time this policy will be updated to maintain assurance it protects your personal information, security, and stays relevant to the services we provide to you. We wont change this policy without making this available to you, but we may process your personal information in a way not explicitly outlined in this policy if it is necessary to protect your vital interests.
Other entities
Service provided to you by AppGecko rely on public cloud infrastructure accredited to the ISO27001 security standard, or similar. For example, storage for user information is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), in accordance with the best practice guidelines they provide. This ensures that data provided to AWS is securely held and provides the same, or greater, protection as is outlined in this policy. AWS is a data processor, and as such you should still direct any data queries to us, through our usual contact routes.
As well as services operated by us for products we provide to you, we have internal business systems which from time to time may hold or process your personal information for purposes outlined in this policy. For example, email and business documentation is hosted by Zoho EU.
You provide your information to companies such as Apple when you make use of the App Store, or Google when you use Google Play. These services have their own policies which you should review. If making use of a social login service such as ‘Sign in with Apple’ you agree to that login provider providing us with limited personal information to enable us to provide services to you as outlined in this service.
